Steve Pica's images of marine and coastal wildlife can be found in gift shops, galleries and across beach communities nationwide. Pica also draws illustrations for magazines, newspapers, advertising agencies and book publishers. His work has appeared in Smithsonian Magazine, The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Wall Street Journal. He has illustrated advertising campaigns for Pfizer, Neiman Marcus, Panasonic and Fidelity Investments. He has also illustrated childrens' books for Lerner Publishing, The Millbrook Press, Bantam-Doubleday-Dell and textbooks for Oxford University Press.
Pica's art is synonymous with his advocacy, giving proceeds from his original art sales to causes like Defenders of Wildlife, Audobon Florida and Open Paw, an international humane organization helpling shelter dogs and cats live better lives while waiting adoption.
